Accompanying one another in hope:
A JRS lenten evening of prayer and reflection

On the Friday evening of 6 March 2026, 15 Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) Singapore members gathered at St Joseph’s Church, Bukit Timah, for an evening of Lenten prayer and fellowship. The programme originally planned for outdoors moved indoors because of the rain.

The evening began with fellowship and updates from our Executive Director, Elizabeth and the sub-committee who shared JRS events and forthcoming initiatives.

When the rain stopped, members continued with Stations of the Cross outdoors. Praying at the later hour with the quiet surroundings after the rain was calming and created a deep conducive environment for prayer and reflection. The experience left many of us with a renewed sense of peace as we retired for the night.
